Unsurprisingly, build 9014 has changed some things for Inscription yet again.
Of particular interest, a lot of the glyphs that were previously green when learnt are now orange, meaning that skilling up from 200 onwards shouldn’t be as painful or costly as my guide suggested. On the other hand, many inks have doubled in cast, so the lower levels may be more expensive.
Obviously, this sort of thing is destined to happen – if I waited til Inscription wasn’t going to change any more before posting the guide, it’d be useless because Inscription would be live.
I’ll be updating my guide and posting a new iteration of it, as soon as I’ve had a chance to re-do Inscription on the PTR. Expect it within a couple of days.
Siha, have you got a handle yet on the new level requirements to unlock Glyph slots? I’ve read that you need to be lvl 15 to unlock 1 Minor and 1 Major, and lvl80 to unlock all three Major’s and Minor, but have been unable to find a figure for the intermediate points.
As of 9014:
– Level 15: Unlocks 1 Minor and 1 Major Glyph
– Level 30: Unlocks 1 Major Glyph
– Level 50: Unlocks 1 Minor Glyph
– Level 70: Unlocks 1 Minor Glyph
– Level 80: Unlocks 1 Major Glyph

Ultimately, your guide was super great.
A few tips I learned while levelling: from 290-300, if there are ANY other scribes at your disposal, have them make Ethereal Ink for you. It makes those 10 skillups that much cheaper.
Also, if you’re not rushing to level inscription up, use the inscription discovery (Minor Inscription Research) to level up as long as possible. This can be from 75-125 and save you tons of mats. Yes, you can only use it once every 20 hours, but you discover a new minor glyph almost every time.. and you skillup for just the cost of peacebloom! Total win.
